What started out as a handful of dentist getting together to discuss treatment plans some 40 years ago, has grown into a study club with meetings of over 200 referring dentists and their staff in attendance. Bay Center for Oral & Implant Surgery’s Study Club has an impeccable reputation for keeping it’s members on the cutting edge of all relevant topics related to the medical-dental profession.
BCOIS Study club places the highest priority in keeping its members well prepared for medical emergencies that can happen in the dental office. The recurring lecture series on how to prepare and handle medical emergencies is the most popular among its members. BCOIS is so committed to this topic, they proudly provide yearly CPR Certification for Health Care Providers to its referring dentists and their staff. This is a tremendous undertaking that has proven to be a phenomenal success for the last several years.
Other topics have included, updates on bisphosphonates, oral and maxillofacial pathology, surgical complications and even implant restoration techniques, to name a few. BCOIS is a certified continuing education provider with the Academy of General Dentistry.
BCOIS Study Club typically meets on the third Tuesday of the month during its season. Call Megan at (727) 585-5494 to make sure you’re on the invitation list to become part of this truly exceptional study club.
